MAcro Coaching

I made it past the first 3 months ?

Prior to working with Kelli, I had counted macros, but not in a real sustainable way. I cut out sugar and sugar substitutes so at the end of 6 weeks, I had lost 16 lbs and I felt great! But then I reintroduced sugar, and I gained it all back in another 6 weeks due to some regrettable binging =/

So here I am, about 14 weeks in, feeling my very best and learning how to eat what I want, make room for bachelorette ragers, and I almost enjoy cooking!

Kelli has been an absolute angel to me, I have learned so so so much from her!

And I’m proud of me, which is the best feeling of all!

KELLI……

I am soooooo excited!!!!!!
I began counting macros with you in early July 2017 largely due to the fact that my doctor told me I needed to go on a statin drug to bring my cholesterol down.

LOOK WHAT I (WE) DID IN A LITTLE OVER 3 MONTHS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
In addition, my BP and blood glucose have come down to normal too!!!!! Oh yeah….I have lost a fair amount of weight too…..approaching 20 lbs, putting my BMI into the NORMAL range too.
I knew I would see a difference in my numbers but I NEVER thought I would be well within the norms in such a short time WITHOUT medication. Counting macros works and I will continue to highly recommend it to EVERYONE!!!!!

I can’t wait until I see the Dr who told me I WOULDN’T be able to do it!!!!!

If this isn’t proof that counting macros REALLY works, I don’t know what is. The best part is…..I can continue and be successful for the rest of my life!!!!

Macro Coaching

I wanted to thank you. I had my first opportunity to go shopping this weekend; very exciting.
I could tell a huge difference in the way clothes fit. I had a couple of
strangers in the dressing room compliant me on how I look, blushing.

The store ladies helping me kept saying, “I think you need to go down a size.”

Me, “REALLY!” They were correct. January 2019 at The Loft, I was trying on 6-8 Petites and walking out because of they sort of fit, if sucked in to button but not happy on how it looked, discouraging. Saturday got 2 new outfits in 2P
and XS tops. ? Watch out a credit card, I need a new wardrobe. LOL.

About two years ago I decided to try something new with my nutrition. The picture on the left is what I looked like when I started, the right is from today. Was the journey always easy? No, but I just kept with it and listened to my coach. People told me I was crazy for doing macros, “it takes too much time”, “it’s unrealistic”, but I chose to ignore those people and stayed true to the program. When I started, I weighed 245 lbs and wore a size 24. Today I am a healthy 150 lbs and fit in a size 4. I went to the doctor today and she told me I was at a healthy weight and had a lot of lean muscle, this is a first for me.

I continue to do macros daily, with a little more flexibility and the scale is staying exactly where I want it to. I left my coach about 4 months ago and was so scared to go on my own. Kelli Michelle reassured me I would be fine and not to worry. She was right and has taught me well.

Things can be hard, but sometimes you have to choose your hard and I don’t regret the path I chose. I know I will never, ever have to worry about the latest fad diet again that probably only works for a minute and then you’re back to where you started, plus some! If you don’t know about macros I’s be happy to share the basics. Best decision I’ve ever made!!!

Kelli has been my coach on and off now for a few years. I had bounced around with a couple of coaches before stumbling upon her. I have never looked back. She met me where I was, she made my health (MENTAL & PHYSICAL) the top priority. If I ever have a question she gets back with a solid answer and if she doesn’t know she goes and finds the best source to get back to me with an answer. She is there not just as a coach to make me “look better”, she actually cares. She listens, she observes, and coaches from a place of authenticity, vulnerability, and integrity. Not only have I achieved what I want physically with Kelli, I have found a true friend and someone that I can count on to hold me accountable to my best self.

I started with Kelli Michelle Fitness almost 3 years ago. What began as a goal to get my calories up and lose a few pounds has turned into a lifelong positive approach to eating that has enabled me to look at food differently.  This is not a diet.  For me, its a system of no “off-limit foods” and learning how to fuel my body properly.  With this methodology, I have dropped weight and put on muscle. At 51 years old, I am in the best shape of my life! What a gift it is to NOT be a slave to a “diet”, food, or the scale.  What I didn’t anticipate during this process was one lesson I’ve learned.  This is acceptance.  Acceptance of me.  Don’t get me wrong…you have to put in the work!  There have been ups and downs…learning to let go of the control and enjoying the process.  I am so grateful for Kelli and the friendships I’ve made.  Kelli is the most hands-on and accessible coach out there.  She is always there to help you be the best version of YOU that you can be.  Thank you to Kelli and the KMF crew!

I’m going to be honest. I came to Kelli Michelle a skeptic. Not because I thought it wouldn’t work – it’s math. I knew I would drop weight counting macros. What I was questioning was whether or not I could lose weight while gaining strength, because being strong is my number one priority. Aesthetics are not on the top of my list, but I have always wanted to see that strength on the outside. I’ve never had that. After a lot of questions and witnessing a few fellow CrossFit friends have success, I decided to jump. I am happy with everything that has happened to my body composition and my strength. I’m continuing to PR my lifts while simultaneously seeing a lot of changes in my body. Kelli understands how to change body composition while keeping in mind athletic performance goals. I’m still on my journey… I want to see where I can go with it!

Kelli Michelle (Kelli Michelle Fitness) is the BOMB!!! I am eating more than ever while improving athletic performance and recovery. I like how Kelli Michelle encourages healthy eating but at the same time allows us to be able to choose our own foods. I don’t feel like I am on a “diet” but I am learning to make better food choices because I want the proper nutrients for my body. At the same time, I can leave room for some “flexible” foods and I don’t feel deprived. I also learned that my occasional “don’t count” days were called “binges” and with the support of Kelli Michelle, I have not had one of those episodes in a while. When I first attended Kelli Michelle Fitness Macro Tracking Seminar in October 2014, I thought I was going to be able to track on my own. Kelli Michelle has been my macro nutrition coach since January and it has made the biggest difference.  She is so motivating, encouraging and continues to be an awesome support system to help her clients reach their goals.

After I had my first baby, I was never able to lose all the baby weight. I tried everything that had worked for me in the past, but nothing would take off that extra weight without affecting my ability to nurse my baby. After baby #2 I knew I needed to try something different, and that’s when a friend referred me to KMF.  I am a very busy working mom, and feared that macro tracking would be too difficult and just one more thing to do. It was difficult at first, but after a couple weeks it became second nature. It’s so great to have the flexibility to eat the foods I want, and It’s easy to fit them in to my routine. Kelli is always quick to reply to my questions and is very helpful in daily planning. Weekly check ins with Kelli are very valuable. She always seems to know when I need encouragement and when I need tough love. I’m so thrilled with my progress and so grateful for KMF!

I was honestly a little skeptical at first, but working with Kelli is one of the best decisions I’ve ever made…  I was never fat, but had some weight I wanted to lose and no matter how little I ate or how much I worked out, I just could NOT figure out how to get it off!  After about two months of letting Kelli work her magic on me and eating what I felt like was a LOT of food [(including ice cream and pizza :)], I had dropped almost 15 pounds and was leaner than I’ve ever been!  As a CrossFit athlete, my overall performance has also gone to the next level while working with her over the past year. In April of 2017, I weighed 245 lbs. Although it was not my heaviest, I knew that I needed to do something to lose weight. I had heard about macros from a friend of mine, at our local gym, who recommend Kelli to me. At first, I was very skeptical of trying yet another diet. I had struggled with my weight for most of my life and had tried many different weight loss programs, that initially worked for me for a while and then I would end up gaining all the weight back, plus some. I had always been dedicated to going to the gym and getting my workout in, but I knew that my nutrition needed help. I was one of those people who thought you could out train a bad diet. Tired of being overweight and feeling unhappy about myself, I decided to give macros a try. Fast-forward to today, macros have changed my life in so many ways. I have lost a total of 95lbs. and I feel good about myself. I look at food as a source of energy and I absolutely love the flexibility of macros and that there are no food restrictions. At first, tracking macros was time consuming because weighing everything you eat takes time. The weight did not fall off overnight and it took me nearly 2 years to reach my goal weight, so if you are looking for instant gratification, this is not the lifestyle for you, but I promise you it is the healthy way to lose weight. Tracking macros has taught me patience with weight loss as well as knowing that I lost the weight in a healthy way. I have been in maintenance for about four months and I continue to track macros daily. I feel the best that I have felt in such a long time and I am glad that I took the step to try macros. Kelli is very knowledgeable about nutrition and I have learned so much from her in my journey. My life has changed because of macros and I am finally free of finding the latest diet trend and from yo-yo dieting. This is my FOREVER lifestyle change that works and I get to eat food I love and not starve myself like on other diet plans. I will forever be grateful for my journey and for finding Kelli because it has changed my life in so many positive ways.
