Summertime Weight Management

Summer is the time where we often find ourselves vacationing and busy with kids and life!
Lack of motivation is a common problem when it comes to maintaining a specifically healthy diet and exercise routine. This is not something unusual. You’re not bad for pausing to take a break, and you need to work on allowing yourself permission to do so. This is also part of a healthy relationship with yourself and the rigors of hustle and grind mode.
While some people will need a longer break from structure, for others, it is not healthy for them to take a longer break. Knowledge is power, knowing yourself, and being 100% accountable for your own success comes from within. You need to know what kind of parameters to set up for yourself and try to sit fully present in those parameters. If you know that you need a day off, take it and don’t feel guilty about it.
Here are some helpful tips to help you stay on track:
Set realistic short term and longer-term goals:
Make sure your goals are achievable and realistic. Trying to make drastic changes can lead to burnout and loss of motivation. Do one thing at a time and get good. Move to another and adopt healthy habits.
Find a workout buddy if working out is not something that you find comes easily with its accountability:
Having someone to exercise with can help keep you accountable and motivated. Plus, it can make working out more enjoyable. it isn’t going to be a failure if you don’t find yourself one of those people that can stick to a routine unless you are held accountable. There are programs that work really well for extra personal accountability.
Mix up your routine:
Doing the same workout every day can get boring. Mix things up by trying new exercises or workouts to keep things fresh and exciting.
Focus on progress, not perfection:
Celebrate your small wins and progress towards your goals, even if you aren’t perfect every day. Remember that progress takes time.
Plan and prepare:
Plan your meals and workouts ahead of time to stay on track. This can help you avoid making unhealthy choices when you’re in a rush or feeling lazy.
Reward yourself:
Set up a system of rewards for yourself when you hit certain milestones. This can help keep you motivated and focused on your goals.
Get enough sleep:
Lack of sleep can make it harder to stay motivated and make healthy choices. Make sure you’re getting enough rest each night to feel energized and focused during the day.
Remember, staying motivated is a process, and it’s okay to have setbacks. Just keep pushing forward and stay committed to your goals
